The destruction of Matt Travers’ criminal empire, and the freeing of his captives, reverberated up and down the Rio Pecos. Then, a trip to San Antonio by Kip, Teague and Lon, reveals more about Ben Hawkins and the murder of Kip’s father Arthur Nichols, forcing a confrontation with an unexpected outcome.

A lot of characters from book one. Really enjoyable western. Looking forward to getting book three this summer. I like the action and storyline.
Amidio Vasquez has survived the attack of Jumanes valley. Travers gold mines & his cattle empire are now his but he needs to rebuild his band. He needs men to do all the work & what of Enos Burrell. He has betrayed him & along with Ben Hawkins & Nacio, they must die. In a cantina in Las Cruces Vasquez contemplates his next move. Then Vasquez considers Vidal Castillo in his Rio Conchas hide out. Castillo is a really bad dude & the Ten Courageous Men have put him on their list along with Vasquez. You don't want on that list because people have a tendency to die once they come to the attention of "The Ten."
Excellent, cleanly written story that only whets your appetite for more of this promising series. Can't wait for the next one coming in the late summer of this year.
I have read all of Dave Fishers books and love everyone of them. They are very exciting and we'll written.
