Been listening to this series on audio cd's. I liked the first one 'cause it had a story and a little witchcraft. This one, however, had very little story and a ton of witchcraft stuff. I didn't like the main character, Ripley. She was always angry and yelling and cussing at everyone. I assume the next book will be about the last witch, Mia. The whole premise of all this witchcraft didn't make alot of sense to me and the constant spells and chantings I found annoying. Where did the author come up with this stuff? Is she really into this so much? I just hope the last one is better. I liked Nell, the character in the first book, but not this Ripley character. Hope Mia is at least likeable in the last of the series or I won't finish listening to the whole mess.

Book 1 carries over to book 2 and doesn't skip a beat. Nora Roberts has a way to tell a story like know other. After reading books one and two, book three is a must. I enjoyed all three.
This is a stronger tale than book 1.
Characters are well developed. Good descriptive narrative. What a lead in to book 3.
How do you describe what comes close to perfection? I have read this series and all of her others books over and over and they never get old.
As usual, Nora Roberts delivers another excellent series. This series was one of the first Nora Roberts books I discovered.

Since then, and yeah, I'm a guy, and I lift weights, and I'm a straight macho guy, ad nauseum, but I love Nora Robert's writings, I have read thirty five of her books in the last three months.

The ladies at my favorite restaurant enjoy talking to me about Nora Roberts. I have a couple of them reading Nora Roberts and one lady and I are exchanging different copies of her books.

Enjoy this series. It is one of her best. It has the best blend of magic, romance, good plot twists, and strong characterization. Her series creates a desire in you to pick up the atlas and start hunting down the island and it's inhabitants.

And guys...with Nora Roberts you just might gather a little insight into the minds of these amazing female creatures. One hint...bring lots of chocolate and never forget what outfit and scent she wore the first time you met her.

Nora has done it again. Wonderful book she just sucks me into her characters and story. I am so looking forward to reading the last in the trilogy.
I can't get enough of Three Sisters! I must find this place, feel the sand on my feet, touch the houses on the beach, smell the coffee and cinnamon! And Mia' s book store. Bravo Nora Roberts! And thank you very sincerely.
Dr. Mack Booke has come to Three Sisters Island to see if there is anything to the notion that the Island was forged by three witches and has supernatural power. The geeky, accident prone Professor did not expect to encounter the very capable Sheriff Ripley Todd who seems to fascinate him both physically and mentally. Fearing that she will make the same mistakes her ancestors made, Ripley stopped using her supernatural powers long ago and is determined to suppress her magic. Love, coupled with her desire to protect those she loves, Ripley eventually confronts her fears and the very real danger that the group faces. With an evil from the recent past (Nell's ex-husband) still on all of their minds, the three women (and the men that love them) wonder what the darkness they feel truly means.

This is the 2nd in the Sisters Island Trilogy. I enjoyed seeing the gang again...Nell is living happily ever after with Sheriff Zachary Todd (Ripley's brother), there are hints of things to come concerning Mia (who lost her love years ago), and there are even premonitions about all of their futures. However, what I really enjoyed the most was the evolution of Ripley, seeing how she comes to find love and an acceptance of her gifts, which will work well when it comes to the eventual showdown that I am sure will take place in Book 3, Mia's story.

I recommend this story to any readers who enjoy Nora Roberts. She has woven a decent story that has some supernatural happenings and romance.
Can't wait to see what happens next! So much action and romance that you can't wait to turn the page to find out what happens and all tied in pretty with the paranormal will have you staying up all night just to finish the book
