This is a good collection of stories, new takes on favorite monster stories. I like the idea of a league of monster hunters that is made up of some of the biggest names in horror stories. Shelley, Stoker, Van Helsing, Frankenstein are all here but not how you've seen them before. This has a League of Extraordinary Gentlemen feel to me. I enjoyed it. I would have enjoyed it more if these were made into a series of novels rather than short stories. Least favorite was the first one too much jumping between narratives. Otherwise a great read. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review.

I loved these stories. It was a wonderful fresh approach to the Frankenstein story
I absolutely love Adam Frankenstein. I was a little confused after the first short story though. I would love to know what happened to Bram and the others.

I loved the new take on Frankenstein and in fact was so in love with the last story in the book, when he was a U.S. Marshal, I wanted to make certain more stories like that were coming so I contacted the author and asked. It's the perfect collection to read at Halloween (or any time for that matter).
Ms. English has continued the Frankenstein story very creatively by bringing him through the ages to modern day. A couple I hope she will revisit again and continue...I would love to see what happens next! Very entertaining and I will be going back and looking for her first book.
