WTH is wrong with this story is so far beyond where this should have gone it's like explaining the difference between night and day. The story went beyond my ability to stomach the violence. I've enjoyed this author in past stories but the last two I have read made me wonder where the author lost the ability to see where to draw the line! She has the main character, who was a man who cares so much for the victim he finds a way to being her pleasure during what should have been an intolerable situation to later being a man who refuses to do anything but torture his victim until her mind snaps and she craves torture! It was sad that instead of making the story about a man motivated to protect the woman he love it becomes about his fear of losing her overriding any compassion or love, he can only manipulate her by torture until she is too broken to have anything in my mind but pity. So sad that the author can't tell she's crossed over into severe abuse! I can't state more clearly that this author needs to go back to what she has somehow lost and find a character that readers can admire not hate!

This is the 4th book in the Seize Me From Darkness Series and takes up where the third book left off. Jazmine has been recaptured by the sex slavers and Pieter the guard who tried to help her is taken as well. Instead of being sold into slavery there is a special Client that wants to watch Jazmine be used and humiliated. The client decides that he wants to be entertained by Jazmine and thinks Pieter is the right man for the job. Pieter is a sadist and loves being able to have complete access to Jazmine’s body, the only problem is Gregor is there to make sure he does more damage that he would like. This book is not for the faint of heart, very dark. The book has lots of twists and turns and plenty of surprises, the characters are very complex and I just wanted to know more and more about them. I am looking forward to seeing where Cari takes this series from here. Excellent read and looking forward to more. Received for an honest review.
I though Chris and Cat in Make me Yours Evermore was about as dark and twisted as it gets - until Pieter and Jazmine.

First, the book continues with the plot line from last the book, and follows the H and h through captivity and release from the slavers. And then the real capture tale begins, when Pieter begins his quest for ownership over Jaz. The last 30% was like watching a compressed version of Chris break down Cat all over again - and yet it had differences that it made it even more disturbing. Pieter was an even worse guy than Chris on every moral level, but unlike Chris, he still had a moral compass regarding women at the start but it got broken along the way. Jaz had hard edges like Cat, but she knew nothing about the lifestyle before she was taken captive, so her descent into total submission was more poignant than Cat's. Watching the transformation of this hard-to-know, icy, competent, self centered and somewhat malevolent reporter to a deeply submissive woman broken on her knees, begging to stay, made this read even darker for me than the last book.

The plot remains captivating, the characters are well drawn, their descent into darkness makes sense in their context, and the sex is hot. What more could you ask for in a 5 star read. Can't wait for the next one.
Cari Siverwood ,SEIZED me in another Dark Novel. I was blown away but the amazing story of Pieter and Jazmine. I am a HUGE fan of Cari and LOVE dark erotica and she completely outdid herself in this book. I was unable to put this book down!

Jazmine a free lance Journalist was previously captured for human trafficking, torture and as a sex slave. Pieter an ex-cop from South America turned mercenary tried to help free here only both end up captured and in the hands of Gregor a soulless man who is capable of anything. Jazmine is held for a specific client that purchases her but doesn’t take Jazmine and make her his immediately. He would rather watch her suffer and intends to watch her suffer for the rest of her life no matter how long that will be.

Pieter is a sadist who has a history of torturing women including his very willing ex-wife. But is forced to perform with Jazmine in order to live and survive the prison himself and keep Jazmine safe and alive. Gregor and The Client love to watch the torture and humiliation forced on Jazmine. Jazmine doesn’t know who to believe in this prison. She can’t trust Gregor he will kill anyone with no conscience if needed. But can she trust Pieter who says that he is trying to help and claims he is her friend.
Pieter is finally able to find a way to get both he and Jazmine out of the prison. Pieter is happy to be free but is not ready to let go or lose Jazmine. He is determined to keep her for himself. Now free from the prison Jazmine is anxious to return to her old life as a journalist in Australia. But will Pieter let Jazmine go and does she want to go? Her disappearance in Australia hasn’t gone unnoticed can she return without destroying Pieter in the process?

WARNING This is a VERY DARK BOOK with sadist, a masochist. This has BDSM, bondage, caning, whipping, piercing or rather needle play, and NON CONSESUAL SEX! Seize me From Darkness has a little of everything for those who love DARK EROTICA but it is NOT for the faint of heart. If this is something you would find offensive this book is not for you.
